As my wife, children, and I sat at a sports bar in Tampa, Florida, we couldn’t help but notice our small table was jam packed. Between our drinks, appetizers and entrees, it was uncomfortable and difficult to enjoy our meal. We asked ourselves: “Why hasn’t anyone invented an elevated drink coaster to create more table space for food?”
We knew there had to be a better way…
The following weekend, we found ourselves at a social event. Drinks and hor d’oeuvres were plentiful, but only a few high-top tables were available. We mingled, holding our drink in one hand and plate in the other – an inconvenient and uncomfortable duo. Once again, we were struggling to enjoy our meal. As we commented on this, it struck us: Rather than create an elevated coaster, why not create a handheld cup and plate?
With a spark of inspiration, we began sketching out designs for a product that would combine a cup and plate into one convenient, interlocking unit. We called it
After countless hours of perfecting the design, working alongside engineers, and consulting manufacturers, we finally had our first prototype in hand… and we knew we had something special.
As we introduced the product to friends and family, we were met with enthusiastic praise and support. It wasn’t long before we realized that Pairingware had the potential to change the way people socialize at events and gatherings.
Our invention is now U.S. Patent Pending and Trademark Pending, and we are thrilled to bring Pairingware to the world. It is the perfect solution to hold your food and drink in one hand, leaving the other free for handshakes, hugs, and high-fives. It can also be used on a table, of any size, at your next gathering.
We never could have imagined that a simple conversation around the dinner table, or attendance at an event, would lead to the creation of Pairingware: a product that we feel is going to impact many. This all goes to show that inspiration can strike anywhere, at any time.
